December Game Results

The December game is done and points have been updated.
We are down to 3 games before the Final Event and there are a few of us who need at least 2 of theses to qualify. I think I let everyone know who they are. There are 3 people who need to make all of the last 3. At the current time we have 10 players qualified.

THE NEXT GAME IS JANUARY 8TH AT 8PM LETS ALL TRY AND MAKE IT.
A reminder the game is schedueled to start at 8:00. I understand it does'nt get started on time most nights. But it is still scheduled to start than. If you are going to be late call someone and let them know. It gets rather old getting seat positions, chips, money, etc. all squared away, and have someone walk in and expect us all to redraw seats, or just plug you into a table at the end orsomething. ( I would love to have a late position seat every time)
THE RULES ARE (as voted on by the members) IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE YOU MUST CALL SOMEONE AND LET THEM KNOW. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BUY IN, AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY AGAIN UNTIL YOU PAY UP. WE WILL DRAW YOUR SEAT LOCATION, AND YOU WILL BE BLINDED AWAY FROM YOUR POSITION. YOU HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THE SECOND BLINDE TO START YOUR PLAY. IF YOU ARE NOT THERE, YOUR REMAINING CHIPS WILL BE REMOVED FROM PLAY AND THE GAME WILL CONTINUE. YOU WILL STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BUY-IN.

November is in the books

November results are posted. We will play Decembers Tournament on the 28th of November as everyone is busy in December. STAY TUNED we will probably put together a open tournament for anyone to fill the long lay off between Nov 28th and when we play in January.
Welcome a new Member Steve Mazul, he has his qualifying tourneys in and was voted in this last game.
JUST A REMINDER WE HAVE 4 WEEKS LEFT TO QUALIFY FOR THE MAIN EVENT. YOU MUST HAVE MADE 6 OF THE 11 QUALIFIERS. THAT MEANS A COUPLE OF YOU NEED TO MAKE ALL THE REST, AND A HANDFUL CAN ONLY MISS 1 MORE.

September Results

Sept. is done with the largest group yet 18 Players. Welcome some 1st time players, who did quite well. Scott Ridgeway took 1st, Bob H took 3rd, Ken Ames finished 5th just out of the money, and Andrew H.
Next Month will be played on Oct. 9th. Lets all try and make it.
A reminder, 5 months are done with just 6 left to play, some of our members only have 1 or 2 show ups. You must have at least 6 or you lose your membership and are not eligible for the MAIN EVENT. Every year we have had at least 1 person coming up short and asking if they can just pay a extra entry fee or something to qualify. The answer is NO! We started this to try and get a regular game going. If you can't make 6 out of 11 this must not be to important to you.

August Is In The Books

August is done and points have been updated. Only 11 players again, I know summer is a little slow but lets try and make it on Sept. 11th. Those of you who had brought potential new members the first month or two need to call them and let them know when the next one is if you want them to come. I'm only calling the people I brought to the table.

Remember it's not necessarily about how many people we get. Make sure it's someone who will fit in half way descent. It only takes a couple to ruin the fun for all.

Starting Chips Have Changed

July is done with only 9 players showing up. I know it's summer but let's try and make it for the next one August 14th. Those of you who have invited people like on the first month, YOU need to call and let them know when the next one is if they don't know. I am only calling the guys I invited.
Seeing how no one seems to stick around for a 2nd game any more, we voted on increasing our stating chips to $5000 instead of $3000. This will make the game take a little longer if people start to hang around for a second game we can look into moving our chips back down than if we choose.

The June tournament is done. Congrats to John L who took out Dale after a long heads up battle. Points have been updated.

The Start Of A New Season

Well we have started the new season. We had quite a few new faces at the first tournament. It's nice to invite new players, but remember to try and invite someone that will fit into the group. Also a halfway decent player or someone who has the potential of being decent. It only takes one or two people to ruin the whole thing. The reason me and Steve started this thing is to have a good game. So think about who you invite or we will be right back to what we were trying to get away from.

The Main Event will be April 10th we have 13 quailifed.
